Thomas Abbey was named the official man-of-the-match in our 1-0 away win at Ashgold on Saturday.

Hearts recorded their first away win of the campaign putting up a gritty performance to record the slim win.

Captain Thomas Abbey put up a captain's game, covering grass and leading most of the Hearts assault at the Ashgold game.

He was denied by goalkeeper George Apronti in the first half but he still kept going. The skipper was unlucky not to have won a penalty when his strike in the box was blocked by Roland Amouzou's outstretched arm.

Substitute Paul Acquah scored the lone winner but Abbey's industrious display was enough to win him the official MOTM award.
