Accra Hearts of Oak assistant coach Henry Wellington Lamptey admits the team played perfectly to instruction in the 3-1 win over Asante Kotoko on Monday.

Kwame Kizito, Thomas Abbey, and Patrick Razak were on target in a thrilling 3-1 win  over Kotoko in the first league of the Ghana at 60 Anniversary Cup match at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Assistant coach Henry Wellington led the team to the exciting win over Kotoko in the absence of Frank Nuttall and reveals the boys played perfectly on Monday.

“It was a very nice game,” Wellington told

“Before the game, I told the boys a lot about Kotoko including their possible XI that will start the game, how those players play because I have coached most of them and so my message was if our players could do what I was asking them to do on the field of play, we will win the game. I told them everything from Kotoko’s goalkeeper to their strikers and it worked perfectly and made me quite happy. The boys did everything I told them perfectly.”
