Accra Hearts of Oak captain Thomas Abbey has been handed a late call-up into the Ghana Black Stars B team.

The club's leading scorer was left out in the initial squad released by the head coach Kwesi Appiah last week but he's been called back together with Musah Nuhu (WAFA) and Justice Blay (Medeama). The trio will join the rest of the Black Stars B team for training on Monday.

Abbey scored a brace in the 3-0 win over Liberty Professionals to bring his season tally to seven goals - a goal behind leading marksman Nicholas Gyan's tally.

The midfielder will link up with Patrick RazakWinful Cobbinah and Fatawu Mohammed as Hearts representatives in the national Black Stars B setup.

The Black Stars 'B' are preparing for the 2018 CHAN Qualifiers and the upcoming WAFU tournament to be hosted by Ghana in September.

We congratulate our captain Thomas Abbey on the belated call-up.
