Accra Hearts of Oak head Coach Frank Nuttall has thanked fans of the club for their support in the first round of the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League (GPL) but has challenged them to back the team when things become difficult.

Team Hearts have received massive support from their fans in the first round of the season and having finished the halfway stage of the campaign with a 3-0 away victory over Liberty Professionals, coach Nuttall says he wants to see more support when the team is not performing well in a game.

“The fans did us well today,” Nuttall told accraheartsofoaksc.com after his side beat Liberty 3-0 at the Dansoman Park last Sunday.

"Again, they supported well and I think the next test for the supporters is really when the team is under pressure and things are not easy for us or maybe some players are making mistakes; then the test for the supporters will be: are they still positive for the players or are they negative with the players? So it is good and positive when the players are playing well but the big test is do you support and are you positive when the player and the team aren’t playing well?
