TEAM NEWS: Leonard Tawiah returns from suspension. Fatawu Mohammed, Patrick Razak, and Thomas Abbey will rejoin the group from the camp of Black Stars B.
Richard Yamoah and Agbashie Dotse have resumed training.
MATCH PREVIEW: Accra Hearts of Oak will play as guests of Division One side Accra Young Wise in the round of 16 of the 2016/17 MTN FA CUP at the Kasoa Zaytuna Park on Sunday, 18th June 2017.
The Phobians are seeking to be in the last 8 of the cup competition and having already conquered two Division One clubs will be hoping to add Young Wise to the list.
Sporting Mirren (2-1) and Kotoku Royals (4-0) were dispatched in the round of 64 and 32 respectively of the cup competition by the Phobians but they will face their toughest test yet in the FA Cup against the Accra Young Wise side that have already claimed the scalp of a Premier Division side.
Young Wise beat Great Olympics in one of the giant killing feat in this year’s cup competition and they will be buoyed to add Hearts to their list of casualties at their fortress home ground in Kasoa.
Team Hearts have prepared well and are fully braced against any upset on Sunday.
“We have trained well. The players have trained well but of course we have got four players missing because of duty with the Black Stars B. In fact, they have been missing since May,” head coach Frank Nuttall told accraheartsofoaksc.com in his pre-match briefing.
“But the players we have [at our disposal] have trained very well. Leonard Tawiah is back from suspension and that gives me more options to consider for the weekend.”
THE FA CUP: Hearts vs Lower Division sides
Hearts have met lower league opposition teams in the FA Cup 15 times in the last six years. The Phobians have only lost twice out of the 15 games, winning the other 13. They have scored 32 goals and conceded five goals within the period against lower division sides.
