Accra Hearts of Oak head coach Frank Nuttall believes his players will give their all in the coming games and bounce back after losing for the first time at home this season.

Relegation-threatened Ashgold stunned Hearts of Oak in midweek, beating the Phobians by a lone goal and inflicting the club’s first home defeat of the season.

Hearts had gone nine home league games without defeat in the 2016/17 season, winning six and drawing three, but a first half-strike from Daniel Gozar ended the club’s impressive home run.

Speaking to after the game, a disappointed coach Nuttall said:

“I am disappointed to lose any game. It was an individual mistake but when we look at the overall game, we had our chances.

“We certainly had opportunities to score but we did not take our opportunities.

I know the players and the mentality of the players in the second half of that game and I have got absolutely no doubt that our players will give their all [and bounce back] in our next game.”
