TEAM NEWS: Kwame Kizito is a major doubt for the game after picking a thigh injury in the President's Cup game.

Cosmos Dauda (foot) and Leonard Tawiah (thigh) will be assessed before joining the matchday squad.

Inusah Musah's recovery programme is going according to plans but he remains out.

MATCH PREVIEW:

Accra Hearts of Oak will play as guests of Bechem United in the matchday 21 of the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League season at the Nana Ofosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday, 9th July 2017.

The Phobians will be looking to bounce back after suffering a surprising home defeat to Ashgold in the last game and will be hoping to record their second consecutive away win on the bounce after beating Sharks about a fortnight ago.

Coach Frank Nuttall has linked up with the team and will be leading them into battle this weekend having gone on a short break last week.

Assistant Coach Henry Wellington Lamptey led the team in the President's Cup game last Sunday and on Monday. Team Hearts showed great character to come from a goal down and should have gone on to carry the day had it not been for the rains coupled with some inexplicable officiating from William Agbovi and his colluding assistants.

The Phobians did not embarrass themselves in the two games with Kotoko but they will have to turn their attention to this weekend's game with Bechem United.

Apart from the 2013/14 season when Hearts completed the league double over Bechem United, the first round result is always reversed when these two sides meet in the league. Last year, Hearts took a three-goal-lead in Accra before Bechem grabbed a consolation and it's deja vu at the Nana Gyeabour Park in the return  encounter. The Hawks took a deserving three-goal lead with marksman Abednego Tetteh helping himself to a hat-trick before defender Owusu Bempah reduced the deficit for the Phobians with a late strike from a free-kick.

Hearts beat Bechem 4-2 in the first round but it would be nigh on impossible for the Hawks to match that result this season. Bechem United have picked up seven wins, five draws, and eight defeats after 20 matches in the league season, scoring 19 goals and conceding 21.

Ahmed Toure has contributed 42% percent of the goals Bechem have scored this season and he would be the guy to watch when Hearts face the Hawks this weekend.

Team Hearts kept a clean sheet on the road the last time, leaving the Nduom Stadium unscathed in a 0-2 victory over Sharks. The team will have to reproduce that defensive solidity and compactness if they are to smile all the way back to the capital on Sunday.

MATCH FACTS: The two teams have met nine  times since Bechem United’s promotion in the 2011/12 season.

Hearts have won on five occasions, whilst Bechem have won twice, and two games have ended in a draw.

20 goals have been scored in this fixture with Hearts leading with 12 goals to Bechem's eight.
