MATCH PREVIEW: Accra Hearts of Oak will host Aduana Stars in the match-day 26 of the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium on Wednesday.

The Phobians returned to winning ways by completing the league double over Olympics on Sunday and bridging the gap with the two leading teams, WAFA and Aduana.

Hearts have picked up 43 points and are four points behind leaders Aduana, and three behind second-placed WAFA, after 25 matches. Team Hearts have lost only a game at home in the league season and will be banking on home support to be able to overcome Aduana in midweek.

“We will approach it absolutely the same way as we approach other games – nothing changes. We will be ready for that game,” Coach Frank Nuttall said in his pre-match press conference.

In the first round, Aduana beat Hearts by two quick first half goals but the Phobians were unlucky on the day, hitting the post twice through Thomas Abbey. Hearts had a slow start that day in Dormaa but it was too late to recover having gone down by two goals from two set-pieces.

Asked if the Phobians will be going out for revenge against the Dormaa-based side in midweek, coach Nuttall added: “No, I am not into revenge because that takes away your focus and your focus is about winning three points. It is not about revenge. It is about winning three points.”

MATCH FACTS: The two teams have met 15 times with Hearts leading the way with five wins against Aduana’s three, and seven games have ended in a draw.

21 goals have been scored in the 15 league encounters and the Phobians lead the way with 11 goals to Aduana’s 10.
