Accra Hearts of Oak were beaten 2-1 by Dreams Football Club in the finals of the 2018 GHALCA G8 tournament at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Daniel Kordie scored a beauty in the 11th minute but Dreams clawed their back to level seven minutes later. It got better for the Premier League returnees as they completed their comeback with Leonard Owusu drilling past Ben Mensah from the spot after Eric Gawu was felled by the keeper in the 60th minute.

Team Hearts had lost the 2017 GHALCA G6 tournament and they appeared to make amends for that defeat when they started on a brilliant fashion.

Kordie was allowed space just in the Dreams half but despite being 30 yards away from goal, the midfielder blasted home with a cracking strike.

Hearts should have capitalized on the lead but missed a good chance to double their lead a few minutes later.

Dreams hit back right away through Razak Cromwell, who weaved his way inside the box before picking his spot past Ben Mensah.

The two teams cancelled each other out but Dreams slightly edged out Hearts going into the break.

Hearts started the second half brightly, testing Amoako in the process. Dreams held their own before catching Hearts against the run of play. Inusah had missed his header for Eric Gawu to bomb through on goal. The former Hearts man rounded Ben Mensah but the keeper swept him off his feet for a penalty.

Leonard Owusu blasted home but it was to get worse for Hearts as Inusah picked up a second yellow followed by a red card.
