Frank Nuttall believes Patrick Razak made a big impact for
Ghana despite not playing many minutes.
The Hearts of Oak speedster was used as an impact substitute by coach Maxwell Konadu in the WAFU Cup of Nations for Ghana.
But though Razak played only a handful of minutes, he reserved his best for the finals where he won two penalties – which were converted by Vincent Atingah and Stephen Sarfo respectively – and assisted Winful Cobbinah for the final goal on the day in Ghana’s 4-1 win over Nigeria last Sunday.
“Of course the boy would love to have more games than he has had but it is about squads not about 11 players,” coach Nuttall told accraheartsofoaksc.com
“But he made such a big impact in the game when he came onto the pitch [in the finals against Nigeria]. He was involved in three goals [winning two penalties]. Razak has done very well.”
He added: “I think all the players for the local Black Stars have applied themselves very well which is in a situation not going to be easy at home with a big crowd but I thought they did very well.”
