After 183 days on the sideline, Inusah Musah was handed his first start in the second round as he helped Hearts to a 2-1 win over Wa AllStars on Sunday.
The towering Hearts defender went under the knife five months ago after picking up an ankle injury in a match with Berekum Chelsea last April.
Inusah returned to the starting XI for the first time in the second round and he aided Hearts to reach a first FA CUP final in 17 years.
"I am mightily happy to be back and to play full 90 minutes," a beaming Inusah told accraheartsofoaksc.com
"It was easy but not easy playing full 90 minutes just after First 30 minutes was tough but once I survived the minutes, everything went well.
"It has been a long road to recovery but I have been back for some time now and been training very well with the team. I felt quite good during the match and I was happy that we won and I played without any setback.
"Coach told me to be patient and helped me to recover fully before playing against AllStars and I am happy that he trusted me in this big game.
"We have reached where we want to be but it does not end there, we will go all out and get the cup too when we play the finals because it has been a while since this club won a major trophy."
