Accra Hearts of Oak wideman Paul Acquah believes the players did enough not to lose against AllStars last Wednesday.
Team Hearts put up a brave performance against AllStars in midweek, opening the deadlock through Samudeen Ibrahim on a hot afternoon in Wa, but the hosts pulled a goal back through an own goal from Robin Gnagne before taking the lead after a penalty decision went against the way of the Phobians.
"We did not deserve to lose this game because we played really well and were in total control before we took the lead," Acquah told accraheartsofoaksc.com
"It was unfortunate that we conceded from an own goal but you could tell luck was not on our side when AllStars leveled through an own goal from us. Things got worse when the referee awarded the m a penalty but we were shocked when [Thomas] Abbey was sent off."
